ALL FUTURE INDUCTIONS WILL BE CELEBRATED AT THE YMCA GENERAL ASSEMBLY EVERY 3 YEARS

SELECTION PROCESS

– The selection committee for each cycle will be comprised of 1 individual named by each of the CEOs of the four sponsoring organizations.

– The selection committee will be chaired by the President of the Association of YMCA Retirees (AYR) and recommendations will be made to the CEOs of the four sponsoring organizations for the next induction Class.

– The selection committee will be staffed by the Springfield College Director of the Office of YMCA Relations.

– Prospective staff candidates for induction will have completed their YMCA career no less than 5 years prior to consideration. These individuals must have had recognized influence beyond local work, had significant influence on the future of the YMCA, and been recognized by peers as an outstanding candidate.

– As observed through our institutional history, the true genius of the YMCA lies in effective staff and volunteer partnership. For that reason, volunteers will be included. Prospective volunteer candidates for induction will have had a demonstrable influence of a profound and lasting nature on the national Movement.

– By the fall of 2010, the Hall of Fame website will contain specific details regarding candidate submissions for the induction Class of 2013.
